ADSL — Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line. ADSL Asymmetry means transfer of large amounts of information to subscriber (video, data, and programs) with speed of up to 24 Mbps.
The speed of connection depends on the distance between customer and the EAT exchange. The further you live from the Exchange, the more it affects the speed of connection. Bandwidth of up to 24 Mbps is provided for users located 2.7 km apart from the telephone station. 6 Mbps limit corresponds to distance at 2.7-3.5 km. If the user is located 3.5-5.5 km far from the telephone station the speed would be 1.5 Mbps. In case of distance more than 5.5 km – ADSL internet connection is not guaranteed.
VDSL — Very-high data rate Digital Subscriber Line. VDSL technology, compared to ADSL, offers higher data rates (up to 13 Mbps ÷ 52 Mbps).
Theoretically, in case of required bandwidth and cable type VDSL service could be organized within the distance 1300 m. «Azeurotel» provides VDSL service with speed of up to 10 Mbps ÷ 50 Mbps to the customers located at the 1000m distance from station broadband equipment.
